Guía de Supervivencia
Survival Guide
Reflection
For this project we researched a country of our choice and made a survival guide from what we found. Our survival guide included some situations that you may find yourself in as well as everyday matters like food and lodging. There were skits throughout the survival guide that showed hypothetical scenarios and showed how you may want to address that. One of the skits in the survival guide was expanded upon and was performed during exhibition.
Before this project I had always done my Spanish projects on Colombia. I focused on Puerto Rico for this project to do something different and it turned out to be good. The two countries are similar in some ways, but for the most part they are different. This project taught me more than I expected about Puerto Rico, I didn't think I would learn much but I did. I learned many things about Puerto Rico and I'm glad that I chose to research another country.
I think the most positive thing to come out of this project was public speaking. I was scared of the skit in front of people in the beginning but I learned that it wouldn't be that hard. It may have taken me a while to understand that, but that is something that I will take with me for the rest of my time in high school. The next project that requires public speaking is the TED talk for humanities. I will remember what I learned in this project for that and I guarantee that it will help me not be so nervous about public speaking.
